Our first challenge was with www.military.com (you may have heard of it.)  To date, this is the largest military related platform on the internet with nearly seventeen million subscribers.  Paul Burke, Our Co-Founder and President of VA lending, is also the forum moderator (a.k.a mortgage guru) for the financial section of military.com.  Over the years, Paul donated his time here answering questions and providing assistance to soldiers needing VA assistance.

Too much of a good thing..? 

As the popularity of the site grew, military.com changed the forum policy to prohibit posting personal contact information on the site.  The new guideline allowed us to continue responding to VA questions, but we were no longer able to contact the soldiers in a straightforward manor when needed.  With no follow up, there was no sense of direction.  We could give great advice, but there was no way to execute.  We knew change was needed. 
We began to research the VA market and other resources available to our soldiers.  What we found was staggeringly disappointing.  There are loads of companies, many not qualified or licensed, giving poor advice to our soldiers and charging fees that are borderline predatory.  Some companies even charge for services that are normally complementary.  Talk about mark-up! Sadly, many of these companies are still in existence and can be found easily by performing a Google search for VA information.
